I work out 5 days a week, Mon - Friday. I am currently doing a hybrid bodybuilding and power lifting routine, mixing strength training with body building type exercises. It’s similar to Westside routine.
Mon/Wed/Friday I do power lifting in addition to whatever body building routine day it is.
Tues/Thurs I take it easier, allowing my body to rest in between intensive lifting days.
I’m currently using Optimum Nutrition: Serious Mass (I’ve included a link to where you can get it for ridiculously cheap), which is a protein powder weight gaining blend. Each serving is roughly 1200 calories when taken with whole milk. For someone of my body type, I need to exceed my maintenance caloric intake by about 1000 calories, putting me between 3500 and 4000 calories a day.
I’ve been doing this seriously for about 3.5 months now. I’m making gains, but it’s slow because of my body type (I metabolize fast and build mass slow). Right now I’m still bulking, but I think I’ll do a quick cutting cycle in August, just so I stay lean.
